What are the purposes and legal bases for Asia Future Trading to use your personal data?
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
To perform a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR)
  • We may need to process your personal data to execute a contract related to the provision of financial services, or to take steps at your request prior to entering into such a contract.

Based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR)
If we wish to process your personal data for purposes not covered under the aforementioned legal bases, we will request your explicit consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time. Please note that withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to its withdrawal, but it may impact our ability to continue offering services in the same way.

  • If you are part of our Preferred Broker Program, sharing trading activity data on our platform with your employer.

Will your personal data be transferred outside the EU/EEA?
As a global organization, Asia Future Trading operates internationally to deliver top-tier services. For the purposes described above, your data may be transferred to 'third countries'—jurisdictions outside the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA).
If personal data is shared within Asia Future Trading Corporation Limited, such transfers are governed by our Binding Corporate Rules, which ensure consistent protection across all our entities.
When engaging service providers located outside the EU/EEA, we ensure data protection through the use of Standard Contractual Clauses or by relying on adequacy decisions issued by the European Commission. Asia Future Trading only transfers personal data internationally in accordance with GDPR requirements.
How long do we retain your personal data?
Asia Future Trading retains your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected.
In accordance with legal obligations, KYC-related data and transaction records will be stored for 5 years following the termination of the client relationship.
If personal data was collected during demo account applications, webinars, or other activities without resulting in a formal client relationship, we will retain such data for 90 days. If an account application is submitted but a client relationship is not established, data will be kept for 180 days from the date of submission. If interest is expressed in the last 30 days of this period, retention may be extended by 30 days per subsequent expression of interest.
Where you have consented to receive marketing communications and/or to share personal data with third parties for promotional purposes, such data will be retained until you withdraw your consent.
Certain records may be held beyond these durations to comply with ongoing audit, tax, or legal claim obligations.
Do we use your personal data for profiling purposes?
Within this privacy notice, 'profiling' refers to the use of automated processing of personal data to evaluate or predict aspects of your behavior. We may apply profiling in the following cases:

  • Right to object — You may object to processing of your personal data, including for marketing purposes.
  • Right not to be subject to automated decision-making — You may request not to be subject to decisions made solely by automated processing that significantly affect your legal rights or interests. We generally do not make such decisions without human review, and we will inform you if we do.
For more information on how to exercise your rights, please contact us.
Are you obligated to provide your personal data to us?
You are not legally required to provide personal data to us. However, without certain data, we may be unable to establish or maintain a client relationship. For instance, anti-money laundering laws require us to verify your identity, which necessitates the collection of specific personal information.
